Where to stay in New Orleans? There is a vast array of accommodations throughout the New Orleans area. In the French Quarter you will find many boutique hotels to choose from. You could stay at a New Orleans bed and breakfast; these are most popular in the French Quarter and Garden District. The larger chain hotels are on Canal Street, downtown and in the Warehouse District. There are two RV Parks, one RV Park is just off I-10 and only blocks from the French Quarter, the other RV Park is out by Lake Pontchartrain on the Navigational Canal. Stay in a French Quarter Hotel
If you would like to stay at a locally owned �New Orleans hotel in the French Quarter� then I would recommend any of the following three hotels.The Place d' Armes Hotel: Located on St. Anne Street right next to Jackson Square the Place d’ Armes hotel is just a short walk from Café Du Monde and the French Market.
The Hotel St. Marie: Located on Toulouse Street just ½ block from Bourbon Street the Hotel St Marie is right in the heart of the French Quarter.
The Prince Conti Hotel: Located on Conti Street and also just ½ block from Bourbon Street the Prince Conti Hotel is easy walking distance to French Quarter attractions and Canal Street shopping as well.
French Quarter RV Park New Orleans
The �French Quarter RV Park� is located just blocks from the French Quarter with easy access by bicycle, by car, or on even on foot. The RV Park is also located just off Interstate 10, so you'll have none of those narrow, one-way New Orleans streets to confuse you! Each of their 52 paved rv campsites is at least 30' wide x 60' deep and features 20/30/50 amp electric, hardwire & wireless internet access, a live telephone line, 12 channels of satellite TV, city water and sewer. The RV Park has a lobby with an ATM machine, Kentwood Water cooler, and a snack machine. The French Quarter-style courtyard includes a saltwater pool and hot tub, fitness room with direct TV, gazebo with bar facilities and TV screen, gas barbecue grill, a laundry room, 4 private baths with shower, a recreation room with computer, microwave, refrigerator, and a huge TV screen. They will even play your DVDs for you. The RV Park maintaina 24 hour on-site management and security. So while most amenities are available between 8am and 11pm the lobby, bathrooms/showers, and ice machine are accessible 24 hours a day. �Pontchartrain Landing� is a New Orleans Waterfront RV Park and is just 6.5 miles from the French Quarter. The RV Park is a hidden gem behind the behemoth cranes and structure along the industrial canal. But don�t get nervous, once inside the gates of this RV Park you will find yourself in an oasis of peace and relaxation. They currently have 105 RV campsites, some with pull-thru capabilities; all are equipped with 50 amp power connections. Here you will enjoy RV camping next to the water on the Navigation Canal just minutes from Lake Pontchartrain. Their mission is to provide a safe, secure and entertaining environment for RV owners, sportsmen, and families who are visiting, on vacation, or enjoying a weekend outing. Amenities include free Cable TV including HBO, ESPN, ESPN 2, and many others, free Internet via Wi-Fi, 24 hour self-service laundry facilities, swimming pool, showers, propane and dumping station. Parc D�orleans RV Park and campground
The New Orleans Parc D�orleans RV Park and campground offers 70 sites for campers and RVs and is just 6 miles from the French Quarter. This RV Park is on the city bus route which makes it easy to get to the French Quarter if you don�t want to drive. At Parc D�orleans RV Park you will find full hookups sites for water, sewer and electric with 30/50-amp service; free WiFi; bath house; laundry room; and the owner lives on site. Bayou Segnette State Park * RV Park and Campground
Bayou Segnette offers campground camping just 10 miles from the French Quarter. Just a twenty-minute drive across the Mississippi River from downtown New Orleans, a multitude of recreational opportunities awaits visitors of all ages—camping, boating, fishing, canoeing, picnicking, playgrounds and, of course, swimming in the wave pool. The overnight accommodations available to you at Bayou Segnette State Park include 98 campsites with water and electrical hook-ups. In the campground are two comfort stations with bathrooms, showers and laundry room. Picnic areas are available for the whole family, and the playgrounds will delight the children.
